| FOUNDATION - OBJECTIVES |

The postgraduate programme (MSc) Integrated Rural Development has been offered since the academic year 2004-2005 by the Department of Agricultural Economics & Rural Development of the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece. The main objective of the programme is the specialization of scientists who will promote knowledge and research in the field of integrated rural development. The programme’s graduates can also pursue a professional career by development institutions and agencies that plan and implement development policies and programmes. The MSc aims at creating the interdisciplinary know how needed to cope with the complex and multidimensional development problems of the local rural areas and the rural economy in general.
